Governors

Welcome from Greatfield Park Primary School's Governing Body

The purpose of the Governing Body is to hold the Headteacher to account for the children’s progress educationally, for what they achieve, and for the quality of teaching within the school. We also oversee how the school spends its money, making sure the school manages its budget effectively, and receives value for money for services and items purchased. As Governors we ask questions, we challenge, and we monitor what is going on in the school. We do this through committee meetings at all levels, school visits, talking to children, staff and parents, and looking at data associated with the school.

Whilst we are all volunteers, whatever our background, we all hold the same motivation and commitment to make Greatfield Park Primary school a wonderful place for learning for all of our current and future pupils.

The Governing Body has been through some changes during the previous school year, these pages give you an overview of our structure for 2022-23, and introduce you to individual governors and their responsibilities.
