Greatfield Park School Council 2021-2022
Our School Councillors were elected in September by their peers - each class from Y1 to Y6 held an election following presentations by each child interested in the role. We ensured that the process was fair for all involved.
Our School Council is a great example of democracy in action. As a group, they aim to make the school an even better place to be by working together.
School Councillors represent the children in their class and give all pupils a voice in a more formalised way. Each month the School Council meet to discuss issues or ideas, which their class have raised.
The school council have recently been involved with the Head Teacher interview process and are currently planning an Easter extravaganza!

Mrs Smith (School Business Manager) was invited to a meeting with the school council regarding recycling, reducing waste and saving the planet. The children had some amazing ideas of things we could do in school to help .
The School Council are planning to speak with parents in the playground about their ideas and how they will implement these around school . Please do take the time to talk to the children,- you may have some ideas that you could share with them to help save our planet too.
